The Adventures Of A Small Town Girl

This weekend my family and I are going to a wonderful land called con. This is our fun nickname for what is really a Science Fiction and Fantasy convention. This will be my second year going to CONvergence and the first was an awesome time all around. This year I am going to be dressed up as a random slytherin girl which will be fun and my mom is going hobbit to work at the Prancing Pony party room. I am really excited. We are finishing up my robe now and it is looking really good. My dad taught me to tie a tye today. That was a really great father-daughter moment there. I woke up at 9 because Shaheen was supposed to come over at 10 so we could go over renfaire costume ideas for her. She didn't show up so we decided to do it at 2 since I was supposed to get off work at 1. I ended up staying 2 hours late and by the time I did get off Shaheen was getting ready to go to work herself. Mrr...but really what are you going to do? On a side note at work today my boss confronted me about my religious beliefs. She kept trying to convince me that I would go to hell if I didn't believe in Jesus. I told her that I had explored Christianity when I was younger but I couldn't make myself believe it. Then I told her that if I was to have religion it would probably go along with my heritage and be Jewish. c-ya.

Well this is the official rebirth of a dead livejournal into something new and hopefully better. I did once want to try something called deadjournal but you had to be invited into it and I didn't know anyone there...I am babbling. Sorry. Ok this is the story of my life starting as of now.
I live in Minnesota "yah sure der" in a small town of about 3,000 people. My class in school has just under a hundred people in it and I can identify all of them by name and know who their cousins in the school are. I work at the local Subway which I can walk to from my house in about 10 minutes. When people come in asking directions a major landmark is the stoplight. Thats right 'the' stoplight. There is only 1 in our town and I can remember when it was put in. At my job I have had numerous people recognize me as my mother's daughter or my brother's sister.
I have 1 and 1/2 older brothers. One I haven't seen in 4 years and the other lives across town (10 blocks away) with his roommates, one of which is a coworker of my mothers. My dad is a republican. From the south. A southern republican. We get christmas cards from the president because he sends the party money sometimes. My family has many more quirks that I guarantee you will hear about but that is all you need to know for now. Just remember that this is just the beginning of my story and I think (and hope) that it will have many twisted adventures lying ahead.
